What A Pilot Should Do

Some Helpful Tips: If you fly inadvertently into IMC

• Watch your instruments

• Keep your altitude

• Slow your airspeed

• Make a standard rate turn 180° to return to the point that you were VMC

or

• If you know the cloud you are in is very small, keep your heading and altitude, slow your airspeed, and continue until you return to VMC

But most of all

• Avoid all IMC unless you are instrument rated and are flying an instrument rated aircraft.
