Faq's (Frequently Asked Questions)
Is Imagine…2nd Chance Treasures a non-profit?
No, we are not a non-profit. Our mission is to recruit and assist local non-profit organizations with their missions of helping others in the community. We create fundraising events utilizing our "Kasidee's Cause" program. See "Donations/Fundrasising" page for more information.
How
are the proceeds distributed?
Donated items are tagged with a color coded sticker identifying the item as an event item. When donated items are purchased, the sale is keyed into the system separate from regular sale. Proceeds then are distributed to the organization that we are fundraising for.
Do
you make a profit on any of these items?
No. We have our own inventory that is acquired & sold to cover overhead expenses. In fact, our philosophy of Imagine…2nd Chance Treasures isn’t about the profit. We are blessed with the opportunity to reach out and help others. We do not take home a paycheck.
What
is the philosophy of Imagine…2nd Chance Treasures?
Our philosophy is to be the change in the world we wish to see. We promote individuals and organizations to be wealthy in spirit by helping others. We believe that less greed, greater kindness to one another and random acts of kindness are priceless.
Do
you accept monetary donations?
No, we do however provide the event organizations addressed envelopes to individuals that wish to make a contribution. It is up to the individual to send in the contribution to the organization that we are fundraising for.
Can
I get a receipt for my donated items?
Yes, if you are donating to the non-profit organization that we are fundraising for.
Are
your prices negotiable?
We can be negotiable on our prices within reason and if the items are not consigned or already being sold at cost. We ask that only reasonable offers are presented.
Where
do you find your inventory?
Much of our inventory is ours but we do take consignments if space allows. We currently have a waiting list of consignors. If a consigner on the waiting list has something that our clients are seeking, we reserve the right to bump them up on the list.
When
can I bring in items for donation?
Anytime during business hours or if there are more than a few (5 or more bags or boxes) items we schedule a time during off hours.
Will
you pick up donations?
Yes, for security purposes an appointment needs to be made if the donation is coming from an unknown source.
What
type of items do you take?
Items that are resalable and in good usable condition. Clothing, furniture, decorative items, wall hangings, knick knacks, misc. household items, vintage items, antiques, etc. Please do not donate undergarments, soiled sheets, clothing covered in dirt, pet hair or cigarette smoke or any items that would be considered not suitable for usage.
We cannot accept: used large appliances, mattresses, Children’s toys made in China, T.V.’s, Children’s safety seats, Spray cans of chemicals, paints, etc.

How
does a small non-profit sign up for a fundraising event?
Proof of non-profit status is required along with recent news articles showing stories about what the requesting organization has accomplished in the community. Requesting organization must pass a screening process to determine if organization meets the requirements of Imagine…2nd Chance Treasures fundraising policies. The selected organization must provide a letter of acknowledgement of fundraiser along with permission to issue donation receipts and permission to advertise event.
What
is the cost for events?
There are no costs unless the event requires advertising I.E. – Sidewalk sale with proceeds going to organization.
