TACAN = TACtical Air Navigation (Military use only)

DME = Distance Measuring Equipment

VORTAC = Has VOR, TACAN and DME capabilities (VOR+TACan)

NDB = Non Directional Beacon (Essentially an AM radio station)

ADF = Automatic Direction Finder (Points to an NDB)

OBS = Omni Bearing Selector

CDI = Course Deviation Indicator

RMI = Radio Magnetic Indicator

HSI = Horizontal Situation Indicator
